ERIKS stocks and fabricates a variety of compressed non-asbestos aramid fiber/inorganic fiber rubber bounded sheet goods in various styles, thicknesses and sizes.

These products are typically used in water, oil, mild chemical and steam type applications. General service sheet is used in temperatures as high as 700°F and pressures up to 1,200 psi.

Flexible Graphite

ERIKS stocks and fabricates flexible graphite sheet in various sizes, thicknesses and metal inserts. Flexible graphite sheet is the choice for hard to seal high temperature and chemically aggressive applications.

These products are fire tested to API 601 specifications and meet the stringent seal-ability standards in the industry. Flexible graphite is suitable for most applications with pH values ranging from 0-14ph (except for strong oxidizers) and temperatures up to 1,200°F in saturated steam and 900°F in oxidizing atmospheres.

Rubber

ERIKS stocks and fabricates all types of rubber gasketing materials. Whether your needs call for a Fluoroelastometer (Viton®), Neoprene, Nitrile, SBR (usually red rubber), EPDM, Natural (gum rubber) etc.; ERIKS will supply it. Since rubber requires the lowest loading of all gasket material; it’s ideal for flange designs sugh as flat faced flange and manway applications or where inadequate fastener loading is present. Temperature range is from -32°F to 500°F and up to 150PSI.

ERIKS stocks and fabricates a variety of compressed sheet – inorganic, carbon, and graphite fiber sheet products to handle the more demanding services in the process and power industries in various styles, thicknesses and sizes.

These products are typically used in more aggressive and higher temperature applications than general service sheet and meet fire safe standards. These gaskets are great for product consolidation initiatives due to their ability and adaptability to handle a high range of service applications.

Gasket are typically used in mild chemical, steam and oil applications and can handle temperatures up to 750°F and pressures up to 2,000 psi.

ERIKS stocks and supplies a full array of metal gaskets including spiral wounds, double jacketed, ring joint, camprofile, and corrugated metal gaskets.

Primarily used in high temperature (up to 1,200°F) and high pressure (up to 5,000 psi) applications, metal gaskets have become the industry’s toughest problem solvers in a host of industries.

ERIKS stocks and fabricates a variety of fluoropolymer products, from virgin and commercial grade fluoropolymer to filled fluoropolymer where glass (and other fillers) is added to the manufacturing process to reduce cold flow.

Expanded PTFE (another fluoropolymer product) is used where low bolt load requirements or damaged flanges exist. Chemically inert, fluoropolymer products are widely used in chemical, petrochemical, refining and food industries. Fluoropolymer is suitable for a wide temperature range (-400 to 500°F) and can be used in a ph range of 0-14.

Synthetic Fiber

With an array of sizes and styles of synthetic yarn braid packing, ERIKS carries varieties lubricated with graphite, fluoropolymer, petrolatum and other different oils designed for your specific application. Synthetic fiber packing is used in pumps and valves for general service oil, water and chemicals. Products in this category are suitable for temperatures ranging from -32°F to 500°F, chemical service from 2-12 ph and shaft speeds up to 3,000 fpm.

Carbon/Graphite Fiber

ERIKS stocks a large selection of carbon and graphite yarn braided packing which is used primarily in more harsh and demanding applications like high temperature steam, hydrocarbon service in industries like power, refining, pulp & paper and refining. Products in this cateogry are suitable for temperatures ranging from -32°F to 1,200°F, chemical service from 0-14 ph (except for strong oxidizing media applications) and shaft speeds up to 4,000 fpm.

Flexible Graphite

With a full range of sizes, ERIKS provides a variety of flexible graphite braided packing necessary for high-temperature and high-pressure applications where fire safety and tight sealing is required. Products in this category are suitable for temperatures raning from 1,200°F, ph ranges of 0-14 (except for strong oxidizing media applications) and pressures up to 4,000 psi and shaft speeds up to 4,000 fpm.

Kevlar®

ERIKS carries a variety of sizes of Kevlar® (also called aramid) braided packing, which is a DuPont product that thrives in harsh abrasive type applications. It can be combined with other packing yarns that create better sealing and less shaft wear. Although used in many industries, the power, steel, quarry and waste water industries are where you will find the majority of Kevlar® based packing. Products in this category are suitable for temperatures ranging from -200°F and 500°F, chemical service from 4-12 ph and shaft speeds up to 2,000 fpm.

Die-Formed Rings

Combined with braided end rings to prevent product migration, ERIKS die-formed rings come in a variety of sizes both in flat and “cup and cone” designs. Die-formed rings are typically used in valves where the most strict leakage control is demanded, high-pressure and high-temperature conditions are present and in pumps where a virtual leak free seal is required. They are typically found in the power and refining industries although not limited to. ERIKS is a supplier of cartridge split seals. Cartridge split seals were developed for even quicker installation than standard split seals. With a split seal, dismantling of the equipment is mostly unnecessary.

Cartridge Lipped Seals

ERIKS supplies cartridge lipped seals in various sizes and metallurgy. Cartridge lip type mechanical seals were designed to operate in high viscosity type applications where conventional face seals either stick together or need environmental controls to keep the faces from sticking together. The lips are made out of fluoropolymer and can run dry. They can handle shaft speeds up to 700 fpm and temperatures up to 300°F.

Vee Packing

ERIKS stocks and fabricates a variety of vee packing sets in various sizes, configurations and components to meet all of your hydraulic and pneumatic application needs. Vee packing, with its hinged design, can withstand pressures over 2,500 psi (depending on component configuration) and temperatures up to 500°F (depending on rubber/fabric make-up and/or homogenous fluoropolymer construction).

ERIKS also supplies deep vee ring packing sets used in deep stuffing box designs where multiple standard rings would be expensive and cumbersome to install. Chevron vee packing is typically found in the primary metals, power and waste/water industries.

U-Seals

ERIKS supplies a full range of urethane, rubber, fabric and rubber and graphite filled fluoropolymer u-seals to meet all your service needs. U-seals have the ability to handle temperatures up to 500° and pressures in up to 3,500 psi (large ram sizes), 8,000 psi (slow moving equipment) and 30,000 psi (static applications). U-Seals are found in many industries such as power, primary metals, mining and others.
